Purpose
The purpose of the Confidentiality Policy is to ensure that all staff understand the section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and Datahubs commitment to enforcing the policy.
Principles
Datahub Consulting is committed to the principles of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and the abolition of modern slavery and human trafficking.
As an equal opportunities’ employer, we are committed to creating and ensuring a nondiscriminatory and respectful working environment for our staff, and contractor. We want all our staff to feel confident that they can expose wrongdoing without any risk to themselves.
We are also committed to ensuring there is transparency in our own business and in our approach to tackling modern slavery throughout our supply chain. We expect the same high standards from all of our contractors, suppliers and other business partners. As part of our contracting processes, we may include specific prohibitions against the use of forced, compulsory or trafficked labour, or anyone held in slavery or servitude and we expect that our suppliers will hold their own suppliers to the same high standards.
Our recruitment and people management processes are designed to ensure that all prospective employees are legally entitled to work in the UK and to safeguard employees from any abuse or coercion.
We do not enter into business with any organisation, in the UK or overseas, which knowingly supports or is found to be involved in slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour.
Our Supply Chain
Due to the nature of our business, we assess ourselves to have a low risk of modern slavery in our business and supply chains.
Our supply chains are limited, and we procure goods and services from a restricted range of UK and overseas suppliers, mainly through UK network of businesses.
Embedding the Principles
We will continue to embed the principles through:
- Providing awareness training to staff and contractors on the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and informing them of the appropriate action to take if they suspect a case of slavery or human trafficking
- Ensuring that consideration of the modern slavery risks and prevention are added to Datahub Consulting policy review process as an employer and procurer of goods and services
- Making sure Datahub Consulting procurement strategies and contract terms and conditions include references to modern slavery and human trafficking
- Continuing to take action to embed a zero-tolerance policy towards modern slavery
- Ensuring that staff involved in buying or procurement of services receive training on modern slavery and ethical employment practices
Communication
Our zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery must be communicated to all suppliers, contractors, and business partners at the outset of our business relationship with them and reinforced as appropriate thereafter.
Breaches of this Policy
Any employee who breaches this policy will face disciplinary action, which could result in dismissal for misconduct or gross misconduct.
We may terminate our relationship with other individuals and organisations working on our behalf if they breach this policy.
