Metadata-driven approach for scalability.

A central control database defines every source: table, load type, watermark column, primary keys. One pipeline pattern serves every table. Full loads and incremental loads are a setting, not a separate build.

A governed silver layer.

Configuration-driven PySpark notebooks handle the cleansing, data types, deduplication and conformance. Column-level rules live in metadata, so business changes don’t become code changes.

Gold layer built on Kimball methodology

A consultant starting from a blank workspace spends the first several weeks making design decisions and building patterns. You’ll have a written solution design within about a week of the discovery workshop, and an indicative timeline in that document before any build starts. We’d rather give you a firm number after discovery than a flattering one before it.

Yes, and this is common. We routinely load from on-premises SQL Server instances into Fabric lakehouses via an on-premises data gateway, using incremental loading driven by watermarks so you’re not pushing full table copies across the network on each load. Other sources, such as cloud databases, APIs, flat files and SaaS platforms, are handled by the same metadata pattern.

No. The accelerator is a delivery method not a service and the customer has full ownership once completed and handed over. The only subscription you pay is to Microsoft for the Fabric capacity subscription. Datahub can advise on the most cost effective Fabric capacity for your business based on your data volumes, frequency of processing, and team size.

We can work with both cost models. We understand that budgets are important and that some organisations prefer to understand the full costs upfront.

Fixed Cost Model

We run the discovery workshop at a fixed price, with a documented solution design as the deliverable. Then we are in a position to provide a fixed cost for the full implementation based on the agreed requirements. The choice is then yours with no commitment to continue.

Daily Rate Model

For a daily rate model we can conduct the discovery and implementation as one overall project, starting with the discovery and then continuing through the build, testing, deployment, and handover.
